Our Skincare Story
We have been hand-blending skincare products for customers in our therapy clinics on a bespoke basis since 2008. This practice was born out of requests by our customers about how to reduce synthetic overload & how to use essential & plant oils to benefit their skin. After a fantastic response from our clients, we wanted to spread the word & for several years, we sold a range of skincare products online also.

The national acclaim we received for our star product - ‘Triple Rose’ Luxury Organic Facial Oil - led us to where we are now. We went back to our roots & created an artisan range of bespoke-style facial oils to impact your skin & your senses…

… and so our Capsule Collection of natural, organic, Artisan Facial Oils was born in 2013.

Your skin has different needs at different times, so use the Capsule Collection to customise your skincare routine depending on your needs that day - week - season - year. For example, you may have dry skin with an oily nose & chin: so you could use the Rose Geranium to balance your T-zone and Triple Rose for your cheeks. Mix & match your facial oils to suit yourself.

Our facial oils contain 99.5% Soil Association certified ingredients. We are scrupulous about our suppliers & hand-blend in small batches using a wealth of carefully selected, organic botanicals.

OV facial oils contain essential & plant oils of the highest grade - so OV products are really special. They work on your skin with these active ingredients and also act on the limbic area of the brain with their therapeutic aromas. Most commercial products use processed essential oils which might smell nice but have no therapeutic value & no positive action on the skin.

OV skincare products do not contain parabens, amines and derivatives including DEA, MEA & TEA, bleaching agents, detergents derived from petroleum based products - PEG & SLS/SLES, formaldehyde, paraffin & fossil fuel derivatives, genetically modified (GM or GMO) ingredients, lanolin, synthetic ‘parfum’, petrochemicals e.g. mineral oils, isopropyl alcohol, petroleum, propylene glycol, phthalates e.g. dibutyl, dithylhexyl, PEHP, added retinol & silicones or artificial colours. We are against animal testing.

Cosmetics are applied directly to the skin, so it is crucial that they are safe to use & our products are compliant with European legislation.

Converting to ‘natural’ skincare
Don’t be afraid to use a facial oil, whatever your skin type. OV facial oils are absorbed quickly and you will be surprised at their satin texture. They are not ‘oily’ as such. They work synergistically with your skin for visible results. We make all our facial oils in sizes 10ml, 30ml & 50ml, so you can try a small bottle before investing in a larger size, if you wish. We suspect once you’ve tried our facial oils, you’ll never go back to synthetic products!

We are used to splodging masses of product onto our skin. With OV, all of this changes - you only need a tiny amount. Warm oils in the palms of clean hands before using and then gently press into the skin. Remember the neck & décolletage, which are often neglected. Use upward strokes to apply. Over time you will see that OV products are a great investment, as you often need less & less as your skin readjusts and rebalances.

Store your OV products with the lids tightly closed, away from light & heat. These are precious products with some volatile ingredients. Stored properly, they will last & last.

As a sensible precaution, due to the potency of ingredients, we suggest a Patch Test 24 hours before use, for example inside the elbow or behind the ear, particularly for those of you with sensitive skin.
