The Orchard View naturals Therapeutic Approach
Orchard View naturals is run by professional, registered & insured aromatherapist Lucy Stevens MFHT BA MA. Here is a little summary about my approach to therapy treatments, because you never know what you’re going to get when you book in for a treatment somewhere new!
My approach is client-led. Your treatment with me will always be individually focused – e.g. with aromatherapy massage, together we will concoct a personal prescription essential oil blend. During treatment, some people fall asleep; others find it more difficult to switch off. (When I go for a treatment myself often I just flop on the bed & fall asleep - & I have been known to snore!) Some clients find that talking is part of the therapy, some enjoy a general chat, others wish to remain silent throughout: all of these are fine by me. Frequently I am asked for hybrid treatments: "could you do half on my back & shoulders and half Ayurvedic face lift?". This tailored approach is exactly what I can offer.
I like to make your environment as welcoming & tranquil as possible. Here are some of the things on my ‘checklist’ for your treatment:

Ayurvedic ‘Natural face lift’ massage

Now you don’t have to visit a spa for a professional Hot Stones massage. A deeply relaxing massage using ethically-sourced, smooth basalt stones, which add an instantly soothing warmth to aching muscles. It may surprise you that the stones feel ‘at one’ with the skilled therapist’s hands. The treatment stimulates the nervous system & increases blood flow, encouraging detoxification. This bespoke massage treatment is designed for your individual needs each time you visit. Therapeutic essential oils are chosen for their clinical properties and blended to give you a ‘personal prescription’ of oils each time you visit. Essential oils enter the bloodstream through the skin & the lungs and have a profound influence on the body & mind. Customers visit for a variety of reasons including ease of aches, pains, stress & anxiety. Regular treatments help to keep you healthy & balanced.

A specialist massage tailored to your needs, which may be focused on areas of tension such as back, neck & shoulders, or may be a more general body massage including legs & arms. A soothing, relaxing and therapeutic experience.
Massage is a therapeutic aid to body balance, detoxification and relaxation. Combining a variety of massage techniques, and working on different muscle groups, massage is a wonderfully relaxing treatment. Among its many positive effects, massage can release muscular tension, improve skin condition and circulation, assist in the elimination of toxins, and help your body to find a natural state of homeostasis (balance). It also helps to release endorphins, the feel-good hormones in the body, and can increase energy. Therapeutic grade essential oils are applied for their clinical properties in prescriptive aromatherapy massage. Many clients discover a profound difference in their health & wellbeing through aromatherapy treatments, which are especially helpful in re-balancing body systems. Therapeutic massage works on the same principles as aromatherapy massage, with no essential oils added to the massage medium.

Treatment Etiquette
We offer an environment of mutual respect & professionalism.
-Bookings: Under 16s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian. Men are accepted for treatment by referral. We have an answerphone at Orchard View, as we are usually busy with customers or blending products, so for all enquiries please leave a message and we will get back to you.
-Cancellations: Please give us 48 hours notice wherever possible, or we may have to charge you for the treatment.
-Arrival:Please arrive no more than 5 minutes early for your appointment.
-Timings: Length of treatment includes your consultation.
-Attire: We will respect and protect your modesty at all times.
-Payment: We accept cash and cheques. Sorry, we don’t have a credit card facility, but can process payments via Paypal. Shepton Beauchamp residents receive a 10% reduction on all treatments.
For initial appointments, at least one hour is recommended to include consultation time.
