Is it time to try a body oil packed full of nutritious ingredients, clinically proven to benefit your skin? To inhale a gentle, natural aroma that’s formulated to help open your mind?
The idea for SUPPLE body oil came from two angles – everyone’s quest for supple, silky skin & my clients’ quest for personal growth – in this case, the ability to be open to new experiences, to be flexible, to glide through life easily rather than becoming rigid & fixed.

Carthamus Tinctorius Seed Oil - Safflower Oil
We use a Soil Association certified organic version. This gorgeous, golden oil is cold-pressed to preserve vital phytonutrients. It contains high levels of Omega 6 (around 78%), an essential fatty acid (EFA) which is renowned for skin softness & health and even helps reduce microcomedones in acne-prone skin. Safflower also contains around 11% Omega 9 (Oleic Acid), which moisturises & helps reduce trans-epidermal water loss (TEWL), so keeps your skin hydrated. It is packed full of A, B & E vitamins which feed your skin. Vitamin E is one of the most important antioxidants, because of its ability to penetrate the skin through small molecular weight & to help reduce collagen degradation. Vitamin A (retinol) also has antioxidant effects & can induce the biosynthesis of collagen. Safflower oil is known as a “dry” oil, that is, fast absorbing, with no greasy residue.
Squalane - Natural Olive extract
Squalane has become popular in skincare in recent years & it’s understandable why. This natural, concentrated emollient is highly effective in smoothing & softening skin, beautifully rich but not heavy. It is similar to a natural component found in human skin, so feels synergistic. The Squalane in our products originates from the fruit of the Olive. It helps retain water in the skin, protects & absorbs fast.
Tocopherol - natural Vitamin E
As we saw above, Vitamin E is a clinically proven, moisturising anti-oxidant, helping to protect & combat skin damage. Vitamin E occurs naturally in our skin, but its production decreases over time, so we benefit from adding it back in. There are several forms of Vitamin E in skincare, with the “d” prefix indicating that it is a derivative of natural sources. We use d-mixed Tocopherol Concentrate which is Soil Association certified.
Pelargonium Graveolens Oil – Geranium Essential Oil
Although known as “Geranium”, the essential oil is actually derived from the Pelargonium, a different plant genus (tender as opposed to hardy). We use a beautiful Soil Association certified organic Rose-type Geranium essential oil, with a light, rosy aroma. Native to South Africa, Geranium is a highly effective anti-ageing ingredient for treating & protecting the skin, clinically proven to rejuvenate through cell regeneration. It also soothes inflammation, fights bacteria and helps to inhibit acne.
Energetically, this popular oil is considered to be cool, calming & moisturising. In aromatherapy, it is used for balance & security. Rose Geranium is an eternal favourite, so sweet & gentle, it can’t fail to give your mind, heart & soul a lift.
Boswellia Carterii Oil – Frankincense Essential Oil
We use Soil Association certified organic Wild Frankincense Essential Oil, sustainably harvested by local communities in Somalia, with a multi-layered resinous, balsamic aroma. This essential oil has been used for centuries to assist meditation & prayer and in ancient times, to embalm. It has been clinically proven to reduce the appearance of wrinkles & damaged skin and to rejuvenate through cell regeneration.
Energetically, Frankincense is considered to be a cool, dry oil which helps to balance heat & inflammation. In aromatherapy, as well as being a tonic for tired achy muscles, it is used for tranquillity & revitalization.
Citrus Aurantium Bergamia Peel Oil – Bergamot Essential Oil
Bergamot Oil naturally contains a phototoxic natural component, a furocoumarin called bergapten. Phototoxic means that the oil reacts with sunlight. We use a Soil Association certified organic Bergamot Essential Oil which has been fractionated, which means that the bergapten has been removed. (You would never want to use unfractionated Bergamot oil on your skin if exposing it to sunlight as it could do more harm than good.) The result is a wonderful skincare oil with a beautiful fresh, fruity-floral, spicy citrus aroma. Bergamot has been clinically proven to be antiseptic & beneficial for a variety of skin conditions including acne, eczema & psoriasis.
Energetically this is another cool, dry oil. I use it often in aromatherapy to help lift the spirits, as it is known to be nature’s own anti-depressant. It encourages optimism & spontaneity.
Rosa Damascena Flower Extract - Damask Rose Absolute
Damask Rose is one of the most precious sources of aromatic compounds & one of the most universally loved. Rose oil is extracted in different ways, producing either an “essential oil” or an “absolute”. Our Rose Essential Oil & Absolute are produced in Bulgaria, where roses have been grown for centuries for this purpose. The Rose Absolute has a rich, deep & rounded aroma while the Rose Essential Oil is light, delicate & rosy.
Absolutes are not categorised as essential oils, as the process to obtain them is different. The aromatic molecules are extracted using a solvent. This process preserves as much of the natural aroma of the petals as possible & the yield is greater than through a distillation process. In SUPPLE, we use Soil Association certified Rose Absolute, which is extracted using an organic solvent which is important to us as the extraction process may leave a barely-there trace of solvent in the final product . It is such a minuscule trace (in parts per trillion) that it is considered acceptable in a natural product.
Damask Rose extract has been clinically proven to revive the complexion, to soften wrinkles, help reduce inflammation & to decrease the appearance of broken capillaries. The Absolute may also help reduce the appearance of scars and in some trials has demonstrated anti-acne potential. One of many naturally-occurring chemicals within the extract is Farnesol, a powerful antioxidant & anti-irritant. This skin-protecting component has been used in the treatment of dermatitis.
Energetically, rose is considered to be a cool & moist extract which can be used to clear inflammation & stagnancy. Rose oils are known for their affinity with the heart. I value it hugely in aromatherapy when grief is present, to comfort & ease.
The overall aroma of SUPPLE is designed to be elegant, sparkling, awaking, open, delicate, clear. To be soothing & subtle, to relax you & to calm your mind, opening your heart.
So there it is. A bottle of magic.

"Then there’s the divine botanical body oil – I tried Supple – which you slather on after a shower. It’s quickly absorbed so you dress and forget about it but once you undress 12 hours later – again, wow factor. That sad looking post holiday skin? Smoother than it’s been in years."
Clare Empson, countrycalling.co.uk

“I am a bit of a sceptic with body oils and I can say that you have totally converted me! I absolutely love the fragrance of the supple oil and I love how it makes my skin feel after a long bath or hot shower after a run.”
"I really like the fragrance - it is very subtle but feels very feminine and delicate. A light and non-greasy oil but instantly moisturising."
